SATELLITE & TERRESTRIAL RF TV Remotization and Distribution

GENERAL

The Satellite & Terrestrial RF TV Remotization and Distribution product line offered by OPTEL includes Electrical-to-Optical and Optical-to-Electrical converters, able to transport transparently, over singlemode fiber, for short and long distance, any Satellite and Terrestrial RF TV Signal in the frequency range of 10 up-to 3000 MHz (optionally 6000 MHz).

The product range is devided in two main categories:

A - High professional products

This product family uses high performance optical components, like Laser DFB with optical isolator, and PIN photodiode with excellente return loss and low dark noise, the same used in the Cellular professional market.

OTX-21xx-B
0.04-2.2GHz Analog RF-Satellite Opt. Transmitters, 75 Ohm, DFB 1310 - 1550 uncooled Laser, shielded BOX.

ORX-21xx-B
0.04-2.2GHz Analog RF-Satellite Opt. Receivers, 75 Ohm, 1310 - 1550 nm PIN, shielded BOX.

OTR-21xx-E
0.04-2.2GHz Analog RF-Satellite Opt. Transceivers, 75 Ohm, 1310 - 1550 nm DFB Laser / PIN, Eurocard.

B - Satellite & Terrestrial Product List

This product family uses low-cost good performance optical components, like Laser FP, and standard PIN photodiode. Suitable to allow the RF Transmission performance to be much better then the coaxial solution. Optionally the Laser DFB will be used also for this product line for special applications.

The range of products is devided in the following main Optical Modules:

T-2352VH - H & V Polarity Optical TV-SAT Transmitter
T-2352VH Module converts the two Horizontal and Vertical polarities RF signals (290-2340 MHz) coming from the Wide Band LNB into an optical signal suitable to be transmitted over a single monomode fiber optic. The optical signal is generated by double wavelength DFB high quality Laser with an emitted power suitable to distribute the full BW TV-SAT transponders up-to 32 users. by means of a splitter distribution fiber optic Network.

R-2352VH - H & V Polarity Optical TV-SAT Receiver
R-2352VH Module converts the optical signal coming from the optical Distribution Network into Horizontal and Vertical polarities RF signals (290-2340 MHz). A high sensitivity and linear optical double wavelength receiver allow the TV-SAT full BW transponders to be decoded with high quality performance at the end of a distribution optical splitting Network with up-to 32 terminal points.

T-2353VHT - H & V Polarity + DVB-T Optical TV-SAT Transmitter
T-2353VHT Module converts the two Horizontal and Vertical polarities RF signals (290-2340 MHz) and the RF Digital Terrestrial signal (150-790 MHz) coming from the Wide Band LNB and the Terrestrial Antenna all together into an optical signal suitable to be transmitted over a single monomode fiber optic. The optical signal is generated by three wavelength DFB high quality Laser with an emitted power suitable to distribute the full BW TV-SAT transponders and the full Digital Terrestrial TV up-to 32 users. by means of a splitter distribution fiber optic Network.

R-2353VHT - H & V Polarity + DVB-T Optical TV-SAT Receiver
R-2353VHT Module converts the optical signal coming from the optical Distribution Network into Horizontal and Vertical polarities RF signals (290-2340 MHz) and to the DVB-T Digital Terrestrial signal (150-790 MH). A high sensitivity and linear optical triple wavelength receiver allow the TV-SAT full BW transponders and the DVB-T Digital Terrestrial TV to be decodied with high quality performance at the end of a distribution optical splitting Network with up-to 32 terminal points.

dCSS-2352VH - H & V Polarity dCSS Converter
dCSS-2352VH Module converts the Horizontal and Vertical polarities RF signals (290-2340 MHz) into a multiswitch 16 / 24 channels allocated in the 950-2150 MHz BW for multiusers channel demands by means of a DiSEq signal created by a suitable TV-SAT Decoder. The dCSS-2352VH Module can be put in cascode with the R-2352VH or R-2353VHT optical Modules receivers.

R-OdCSS-2353VHT - H & V Polarity + DVB-T Optical Receiver + dCSS Converter
R-OdCSS-2353VHT Module is a compact mechanical solution that combines in one mechanics the two modules R-2353VHT + dCSS-2352VH.

R-O2dCSS-2353VHT - H & V Polarity + DVB-T Optical Receiver + 2dCSS Converters
R-O2dCSS-2353VHT Module is a compact mechanical solution that combines in one mechanics the modules R-2353VHT + two dCSS-2352VH. The 4 4-to-16 outputs allocated in the 950-2150 MHz BW mixed with the DVB-T Digital Terrestrial BW (150-790 MHz) can be sent to 4 indipendent users via coaxial cable.

AN-2151 - Bi-directional TV-SAT & DVB-T Transmitter & DiSEqC Receiver
AN-2151 Module converts the RF TV-SAT (950-2150MHz) & DVB-T (150-790 MHz) RF signals coming from the Satellite and Terrestrial Antennas into an optical signal suitable to be transmitted over a single monomode fiber optic. The Module also can receive from the same optical fiber the DiSEqC commands (13-17V; 22KHz) to be sent to a Multiswitch for selecting one of the four HL, HH, VL, VH bands. The optical signal is generated by a DFB high quality Laser and a PIN photodiode detects the DiSEqC.

US-2151 - Bi-directional TV-SAT & DVB-T Receiver & DiSEqC Transmitter
US-2151 Module converts the optical signal coming from a monomode optical fiber to the TV-SAT (950-2150MHz) & DVB-T (150-790 MHz) RF signals. The Module also can Transmit over the same optical fiber the DiSEqC commands (13-17V; 22KHz) to be sent to a Multiswitch for selecting one of the four HL, HH, VL, VH bands. The optical DiSEqC.signal is generated by a DFB high quality Laser and a PIN photodiode detects the TV-SAT & DVB-T RF signals.

US-2150 - DVB-T Receiver
US-2150 Module converts the optical signal coming from the optical Distribution Network into the DVB-T Digital Terrestrial signal (150-790 MH). US-2150 Module is used in conjunction with the AN-2151 Module. A high sensitivity and linear optical receiver allow the full BW DVB-T Digital Terrestrial TV to be decoded with high quality performance at the end of a distribution optical splitting Network with up-to 32 terminal points.

WT1- Wide Band LNB
WBLNB-WT1 is a very low noise LNB able to convert the two polarity received from a Satellite Antenna at 10.7 - 12.75 GHz into two RF output at 0.29-2.34 GHz.

APPLICATION

The Satellite product solutions, offered by the above OPTEL's Product Line can find efficiently and cost effective applications in the RF TV SATELLITE and digital Terrestrial TV fiber optic distribution networks from the LNB and Terrestrial Antenna sites to all the users, with easy integration with coaxial terminations.

All the products consists of very compact shielded BOXES suitable to be delivered as a "COMPONENT" to OEM SATELLITE & TERRESTRIAL product suppliers and fiber optic network installer.
